This role involves providing behavioral therapy and support to children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in special education, applied behavior analysis, and patient care, with a commitment to improving the quality of life for clients through evidence-based interventions. This position offers an opportunity to work closely with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to meaningful therapeutic outcomes. Responsibilities Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles Collect and record data accurately during therapy sessions to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments Assist with patient assessments, intake procedures, and diagnostic evaluations under supervision Support clients in developing communication, social, and daily living skills through structured activities Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of medical records and client information Document medical records, progress notes, and behavioral data thoroughly and timely Collaborate with supervisors, clinicians, and families to ensure consistency in treatment approaches Provide patient care that promotes safety, comfort, and engagement during therapy sessions Participate in ongoing training related to behavioral health, medical terminology, and best practices in special education Qualifications Experience or training in behavioral therapy, special education, or working with children with developmental disabilities preferred Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA), autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and diagnostic evaluation techniques highly desirable Familiarity with medical documentation, medical terminology, and patient assessment procedures preferred Strong data collection skills with attention to detail for tracking client progress accurately Ability to work effectively with children and individuals with disabilities in a compassionate manner Understanding of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and confidentiality Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members, clients, and families Patience, adaptability, and a genuine interest in supporting behavioral health initiatives This position is ideal for individuals passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of those with developmental disabilities through evidence-based interventions.
