Job Summary:
The Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) plays a critical role in supporting students' behavioral, social-emotional, and academic success within a therapeutic and inclusive school setting. The BCBA provides leadership in the development, implementation, and monitoring of evidence-based behavioral interventions and supports designed to promote student independence, emotional regulation, positive social engagement, and access to learning.
The successful candidate will:

Facilitate individual, departmental, and school excellence through the support of high-quality personnel, reinforcement of best instructional practices, encouragement of a culture of collaboration, and a focus on student learning;
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's Degree required. Certification with the Behavior Analysis Certification Board as a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
Additional Certification considered in one or more of the following areas: Special Education Teacher, and Social Worker/Mental Health Counselor.
Trained or willingness to be trained in crisis prevention and intervention strategies
Basic First Aid certified or willingness to be certified.
Fluent in use of digital collaborative tools such as Excel, Word, OneDrive and shared calendars.
Maintains a high level of role modeling behavior for students including task initiation, time management, professionalism, reliability, honesty, punctuality and attention to detail.
Knowledge of:
Empowering students with the tools they need to succeed both academically and personally, ensuring they can navigate social and emotional challenges with confidence and resilience.?
Current research-based practices and experience implementing these practices within educational settings. Special education regulations and IEP processes. Developing and implementing programmatic behavior support systems as well as individualized behavioral support programs. Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills. Working knowledge of a variety of technology tools including but not limited to Microsoft Office suite and OneDrive Apps.
Cultural proficiency and the ability to integrate and promote teamwork through the integration of diverse perspectives, worldviews, values, experiences, and beliefs.
Applied behavior analysis (aba) practices in schools.
The Behavior Specialist (BCBA) is responsible to: Develop, refine, and implement data collection systems. Through data analysis, develop and contribute to programmatic and individualized behavior support systems. Monitor the restrictiveness and effectiveness of interventions through ongoing analysis of data and monitoring of student progress. Supervise/Evaluates Department Registrar Behavior Technician RBTs
Provide coaching to team members to infuse research-based behavioral support strategies within classroom, group, milieu, leisure, vocational, and home settings. Complete Functional Behavioral Assessments and other descriptive behavior assessments as appropriate and develop Positive Behavior Support programs. Consult to TEAM in the development of behavior goals and objectives for IEPs and attend TEAM meetings as indicated. Be a self-starter with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, with flexibility, humor, passion, initiative, follow through, creativity, and adaptability. Provide consultation and/or professional development for faculty as needed. With the multi-disciplinary team, identify and implement accommodations related to students' IEPs and transitional/vocational and school-specific needs. Refine and develop professional skills through training, professional reading, and continuing education. Exchange professional information with peers through formal and informal means.
