Full Job Description Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician to join our team. As a Behavior Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing support and implementing behavior plans for individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Your primary responsibility will be to assist in the implementation of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy programs under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). This is an excellent opportunity to make a difference in the lives of individuals with ASD and their families.
Duties:
  • Implement behavior intervention plans as directed by the BCBA
  • Collect data on client progress and behaviors
  • Assist with the development and implementation of individualized care plans
  • Provide direct one-on-one therapy to clients using ABA techniques
  • Teach and reinforce appropriate social, communication, and daily living skills
  • Assist with behavior management strategies and crisis intervention, as needed
  • Collaborate with the treatment team to ensure consistent implementation of treatment goals
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical documentation, including progress notes and incident reports
  • Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain client confidentiality
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, education, or related field preferred
  • Experience working with children or individuals with autism is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and techniques is a plus
  • Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with individuals with diverse backgrounds
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to follow directions and implement behavior plans accurately
