Category Schools - Behavior Specialist Job Type Contract Make a meaningful difference in educational settings by supporting students and staff as a Behavior Specialist. Desired Experience and Skills:
Expertise in behavior management and positive behavioral intervention strategies within school environments. Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs). Ability to collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop effective supports. Excellent communication, observation, and data collection skills. Experience working with students with varied needs, including those with developmental or emotional challenges. Master's degree in psychology, counseling, special education, or a related field preferred. Relevant certification or licensure in behavior analysis or special education is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess students' behavioral needs and create individualized support plans. Model and coach evidence-based behavior management techniques for classroom teams. Collect and analyze data to inform interventions and monitor progress. Provide professional development and guidance to school staff regarding best practices.
