Job Description

Category Schools - Behavior Specialist Job Type Contract Make a difference in the lives of students as a dedicated Behavior Specialist supporting educational environments near Newark, DE. This contract role offers the opportunity to collaborate with teachers, counselors, and families to help children thrive both socially and academically. Use your expertise to develop and implement behavior intervention plans, create positive learning environments, and empower students to reach their fullest potential.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Experience working as a Behavior Specialist or similar role in a school setting Strong understanding of behavior management principles and intervention strategies Ability to collect and analyze student data to develop effective behavior plans Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with multi-disciplinary teams Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, or related field required; Master's preferred Familiarity with special education processes and documentation is a plus
Responsibilities:
Assess student behaviors and collaborate to develop individualized behavior intervention plans Provide coaching, modeling, and guidance to school staff for classroom management strategies Support students during challenging situations, fostering positive behavior change Monitor progress, maintain detailed documentation, and adjust plans as needed Communicate regularly with teachers, administrators, and families to ensure coordinated support Participate in IEP and team meetings when appropriate, offering behavioral expertise This role offers the rewarding chance to positively impact students and schools, while working alongside passionate educators and support staff.
