Category Schools - RBT - Registered Behavior Technician Job Type Contract Make a difference in the lives of students as a Registered Behavior Technician working in a supportive school environment near Newark, DE! This contract opportunity focuses on supporting Extended School Year (ESY) programs, where your skills promoting positive behavior change and implementing individualized plans will truly have an impact.
Key Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Active and current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required Experience working in schools or similar educational settings preferred Familiarity with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and techniques Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with educators, therapists, and families Ability to follow and implement behavioral intervention plans under BCBA supervision Reliability, patience, and commitment to fostering meaningful progress for each student
General Responsibilities:
Work directly with students to support social, behavioral, and communication goals Follow individualized ABA-based behavior intervention plans and collect relevant data Assist in the implementation of instructional and behavioral supports within classroom and specialized settings Collaborate with teachers and support staff to create a positive, inclusive environment during ESY programming Communicate observations and progress to supervising BCBAs and school teams Maintain confidentiality and adherence to all professional and ethical guidelines
