Job Description

Category Schools - BCBA Job Type Contract This school-based role, located in Smyrna, DE, offers the opportunity to apply your expertise as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) working with students aged 2-22 who have severe disabilities and autism. You will play a vital role in creating supportive educational environments and promoting positive behavioral outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) to identify behavior patterns and underlying causes Develop and implement Behavior Support Plans (BSPs) tailored to individual student needs Collaborate with educational teams to establish behavior goals for Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Participate in crisis intervention and de-escalation as a member of the school's crisis team Support consistent data collection to monitor progress and effectiveness of interventions Provide ongoing behavioral support and training to school staff and students
Qualifications:
Active Delaware BCBA licensure or certification is required Experience working with students with severe disabilities and autism preferred Strong skills in behavioral assessment, intervention planning, and crisis management Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and communicate clearly Benefits of this contract position include the chance to make a meaningful impact in a school setting, professional growth opportunities, and the ability to work within a collaborative educational community.
