RBT Applied Behavior Analyst Therapist Apopka, FL 32704 $21.00 - $22.50 an hour - Full-time $21.00 - $22.50 an hour - Full-time Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) Applied Behavior Analyst Therapist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will work closely with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, to implement evidence-based behavioral interventions. Your primary focus will be on supporting clients in developing essential skills, reducing challenging behaviors, and promoting independence through personalized care plans. Responsibilities Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or licensed clinician. Collect and record data on client behaviors, progress, and response to interventions accurately and consistently. Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as grooming, dressing, feeding, and toileting, to foster independence. Use positive reinforcement strategies to promote desired behaviors and manage behavioral challenges effectively. Support clients during teaching sessions, including skill acquisition in communication, socialization, and self-care skills. Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations and ensure all medical documentation and records are accurate and up-to-date. Collaborate with team members to develop and update care plans tailored to each individual's needs and goals. Qualifications Prior experience or training in behavioral therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), or working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred. Strong understanding of behavior management techniques and data collection methods. Ability to assist with ADLs and support clients in achieving greater independence. Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and HIPAA compliance is a plus. Excellent communication skills and patience when working with children or individuals with autism. Ability to follow detailed instructions and implement treatment plans consistently. A valid certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or willingness to obtain certification is required for this role.
