In this vital role, you will implement evidence-based behavioral interventions rooted in applied behavior analysis (ABA) to promote skill development, independence, and positive behavior change. Responsibilities Implement individualized behavior intervention plans designed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to support clients' goals. Collect and record data meticulously during therapy sessions to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments. Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as grooming, dressing, feeding, and communication skills development. Use positive reinforcement strategies to encourage desired behaviors and manage challenging behaviors effectively. Collaborate with families, caregivers, and team members to ensure consistency across settings and promote generalization of skills. Maintain confidentiality by adhering to HIPAA regulations and safeguarding all medical records and documentation. Participate in ongoing training on behavioral health, medical terminology, and behavior management techniques to stay current with best practices. Experience Prior experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred but not required; training will be provided for qualified candidates. Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management strategies, and special education principles is highly desirable. Strong data collection skills with attention to detail are essential for tracking client progress accurately. Compassionate patient care approach combined with excellent communication skills to engage clients effectively. Familiarity with medical documentation, medical terminology, and maintaining detailed care plans supports successful performance in this role.
