Job Description
Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), where you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality behavioral therapy services to individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder. In this energetic and rewarding position, you will implement individualized treatment plans, support skill development, and promote positive behavior change. Your dedication will help empower clients to achieve greater independence and improve their quality of life. This paid position offers opportunities for professional growth within the behavioral health and special education fields. Responsibilities Implement evidence-based behavioral interventions based on applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles to support clients' goals. Collect and record accurate data on client behaviors, progress, and response to interventions to inform ongoing treatment plans. Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as grooming, dressing, eating, and toileting, fostering independence. Support clients during therapy sessions by teaching new skills and managing challenging behaviors through positive reinforcement strategies. Maintain detailed and compliant medical documentation, including care plans, progress notes, and behavioral records, following HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with supervisors, caregivers, and team members to ensure consistency in treatment delivery and progress monitoring. Uphold confidentiality and adhere to all safety protocols related to behavioral health practices and medical records management. Skills Strong understanding of behavioral therapy techniques and applied behavior analysis (ABA). Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, especially autism spectrum disorder. Ability to assist with ADLs and implement behavior management strategies effectively. Excellent data collection skills for tracking client progress accurately. Knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA compliance, and medical documentation standards. Compassionate approach with patience and excellent communication skills for working with diverse populations. Ability to follow detailed care plans and adapt interventions as needed based on client response.
