Job Description

Behavior Technician 25 Hours a Week, M
  • F after 5 pm and
Saturday and Sunday Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician to join our team. As a Behavior Technician, you will play a vital role in providing support and assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities, specifically working with people on the autism spectrum. This is an opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others through applied behavior analysis and behavioral therapy.
Responsibilities:
  • Implement behavior plans and interventions under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
  • Provide direct one-on-one therapy to individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities
  • Collect data on client progress and behavior
  • Assist with the development and implementation of individualized care plans
  • Collaborate with the treatment team to ensure consistency in therapy approaches
  • Teach and reinforce appropriate social, communication, and daily living skills (ADLs)
  • Utilize behavior management techniques to address challenging behaviors
  • Maintain accurate documentation of client sessions and progress
Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of applied behavior analysis principles and techniques
  • Experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities
  • Familiarity with care plans and behavioral therapy strategies
  • Understanding of medical terminology related to behavioral health
  • Knowledge of special education practices and strategies
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with clients, families, and team members
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively in challenging situations
