Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. The RBT will play a crucial role in providing high-quality behavioral therapy to children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism. This position involves implementing treatment plans based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), and collecting data to monitor progress. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and possess a strong understanding of behavior management techniques. Responsibilities Implement individualized treatment plans based on ABA principles under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) to promote independence and self-care skills. Collect and record data on client progress, behaviors, and responses to interventions. Provide support and guidance to clients in various settings, including home, school, or community environments. Teach social skills, communication strategies, and coping mechanisms to enhance client interactions. Maintain accurate medical documentation, including care plans and medical records, in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with families and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support for clients. Engage in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices in behavioral health. Requirements Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is required. Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred. Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques and behavior management strategies is essential. Familiarity with special education practices and patient care standards is beneficial. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients, families, and team members. Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding client information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines. Proficiency in medical terminology related to behavioral health is an asset. A compassionate approach toward working with individuals on the autism spectrum or those requiring behavioral therapy support is crucial.
