As a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), you'll deliver one-on-one Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to individuals with autism and other developmental or behavioral challenges. Provide direct, one-on-one ABA therapy to children and young adults in accordance with individualized treatment plans. Implement programs and behavior intervention plans as designed by the BCBA. Collect accurate data on client progress using designated data collection systems. Analyze and respond to client behavior using appropriate prompting, reinforcement, and behavior management strategies. Maintain high treatment fidelity and follow all clinical protocols as written. Complete session notes and documentation within required timeframes. Participate in staff meetings and ongoing professional development. Adhere to the BACB® Ethics Code for Behavior Analysts. Qualifications & Requirements Education & Certifications Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required. High School Diploma required; a degree in psychology, education, or other related fields is preferred but not required. Active CPR, HIPAA, and Mandatory Reporter certifications preferred, or ability to obtain and maintain these upon hire. Preferred Skills At least one year of experience working with children (ages anywhere from toddlers through high school age) with autism or other developmental disabilities preferred. Background in teaching, classroom assistance, childcare, preschool, or daycare settings is a plus. Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work efficiently and accurately in fast-paced environments with frequent interruptions. Clear, professional communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with children, families, and team members. Ability to build positive relationships and demonstrate sensitivity to diverse backgrounds and individual needs. Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of making sound decisions independently. Adaptable and open to change, with patience and a collaborative mindset. Receptive to feedback and apply it toward continued professional growth. Eligibility Requirements Must pass a background check, including criminal history and child/dependent adult abuse screenings. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and provide proof of eligibility at the time of hire and as required thereafter (as applicable). Maintain active RBT certification in good standing. Must be able to communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, and speaking). Must maintain strict confidentiality regarding clients, families, and staff.Physical Requirements and Work Environment Behaviors:
Must be comfortable working in an environment where challenging or aggressive behaviors may occur, while maintaining composure and staying calm under pressure.Lifting ability:
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. This position involves physical care which may require moving children between the ages of 12-48 months.Mobility:
Ability to move freely and quickly around a room, including kneeling, squatting, bending, twisting, crawling, and sitting on the floor. Must be able to transition quickly from sitting to standing as needed.Physical endurance:
Ability to maintain physical activity for extended periods, especially when working with clients who may require frequent movement or redirection. This includes walking quickly, jogging short distances, and tolerating long periods on your feet (15 minutes minimum).Dexterity:
Good hand coordination for data collection on electronic devices.Visual acuity:
Clear vision to observe client behaviors and monitor data.Auditory tolerance:
Must be comfortable working in a high-noise environment for extended periods.
