Job Description

Position:
Behavior Interventionist supports students in developing the skills needed to succeed in the school environment. Student needs vary widely and may include behavioral challenges, learning difficulties, and developmental delays impacting social, cognitive, or self-help skills. Staff may be assigned to provide 1:1 support or serve as a rover across classrooms, depending on student and school needs. Position Responsibilities Provide direct 1:1 behavioral one-one Implement individualized Behavior Intervention Plans with consistency Use positive reinforcement and evidence-based strategies to reduce challenging behaviors Support students in building communication, social, and adaptive skills Collect and maintain accurate data on student progress Provide regular written and verbal updates on treatment goals Collaborate with teachers, therapists , and clinical team members Participate in staff meetings and ongoing training Maintain daily documentation of progress and outcomes Bachelor's degree in a human services field OR bachelor's degree in a non-human services field with a minimum of 24 upper-division credits in a human services area Minimum of 1 year of supervised experience working with children with developmental disabilities Registered Behavior Technician (RBT): Current RBT certification preferred Additional Requirements (All Applicants): Must be at least 18 years old Ability to pass a criminal background check through Idaho Department of Health and Welfare (IDHW) Valid driver's license CPR/First Aid certification Commitment to participating in monthly trainings and supervision Professional Expectations Implement behavior intervention programs with consistency and fidelity Maintain reliable and accurate data collection Follow research-based instructional and behavioral strategies Adhere to all state and federal guidelines, including mandated reporting, HIPAA, and Fraud, Waste, and Abuse policies

$28.00 - $35.00 per hour
