Job Description

Category Schools - RBT - Registered Behavior Technician Job Type Contract Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students by providing behavioral support as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) in a dynamic school environment near Orland Park, IL. This contract position offers you the opportunity to work directly with students, collaborating with educators and specialists to foster positive change and growth.
Qualifications & Skills:
Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required Experience working in school settings or with children/adolescents preferred Strong understanding of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills Ability to follow behavior intervention plans and adapt to varying student needs Respectful, professional demeanor with a dedication to supporting student success
Key Responsibilities:
Work closely with students to implement individualized behavior intervention plans designed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) Provide one-on-one and small group support to reinforce appropriate behaviors and teaching alternative skills Collect and record data on student progress and communicate findings to the intervention team Collaborate with teachers, staff, and family members to ensure consistency and best practices Foster a supportive, inclusive environment that encourages student engagement and independence Participate in ongoing training and professional development This opportunity is geared toward candidates who thrive in an educational environment and are passionate about making a real impact.
