Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or Behavior Technician, where you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality behavioral therapy to individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and adolescents by implementing evidence-based interventions rooted in applied behavior analysis (ABA). As an essential member of our behavioral health team, you will work closely with clients, families, and multidisciplinary professionals to promote skill development, independence, and positive behavior change in a compassionate and supportive environment. Duties Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA) to support clients' developmental goals. Collect and record data on client behaviors, progress, and responses during therapy sessions to ensure accurate tracking of outcomes. Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as grooming, dressing, feeding, and communication skills, fostering independence. Support clients during educational activities and teach new skills through structured teaching methods aligned with special education practices. Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding client confidentiality and handling medical documentation responsibly. Collaborate with supervisors and team members to update care plans and ensure consistency across therapeutic interventions. Create a positive, engaging environment that encourages client participation while managing behavioral challenges through effective behavior management strategies. Experience Prior experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred but not required; training will be provided for qualified candidates. Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques, including applied behavior analysis (ABA), is highly desirable. Familiarity with data collection methods and maintaining accurate medical records is advantageous. Strong understanding of medical terminology, HIPAA compliance, and documentation standards related to behavioral health is beneficial. Excellent communication skills and patience are essential for working effectively with clients, families, and team members. A background in special education, teaching, or patient care can enhance your ability to succeed in this role. $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
