Associate's degree in related field preferred. Registered Behavior Tech certification, or ability to obtain certificate within three months of employment. Minimum of one (1) years' experience in the care of individuals with multiple physical handicaps or challenging behaviors, intellectual and/or developmental disabilities preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of above requirements.
Essential Functions:
Support our individuals direct care needs including, but not limited to: 1. Assess individual behavioral programming needs as instructed by Behavior Analyst. 2. Implement appropriate programs for service recipients as part of the individual's support plan. 3. Conduct staff training in regard to behavior service policies, procedures, techniques, and programs and ongoing fidelity of implementation of programs. 4. Serve as a consultant to all departments regarding behavior techniques and strategies. 5. Serve as a member of the IDT and attend annuals and other special team meetings to provide input. Provide weekly information to the behavioral team as it relates to service recipients behavior. 7. Collect, input and graph behavioral data on an ongoing basis. 8. Participate in various standing and ad hoc committees as appointed. 9. Attend in-services and workshops to maintain quality standards in the delivery of training services. 10. Attend and participate in departmental meetings. 11. Attend and participate in staff meetings as designated by department needs. 12. Spend at least 5% of total hours providing behavior supports under clinical supervision as designated by licensing board. 13. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
