School Support Behavior Tech Crescent Bloom Consulting - 4.5 New Orleans, LA Job Details Part-time | Full-time $15 - $17 an hour 17 hours ago Benefits Paid time off Professional development assistance Qualifications Driver's License Working with children Bachelor's degree Full Job Description Crescent Bloom Consulting is seeking a full time ABA Therapist in the school setting. The position will involve shadowing a client in school and assisting them with day to day tasks. Most of the children we work with range in age from 7-13. We have a fairly strict Covid-19 policy, including respecting parent preferences for vaccinated staff with their potentially vulnerable children. If you are passionate about working with children and adolescents with disabilities or those in need of support in a school this is a great way to gain skills and have positive impact. At Crescent Bloom we provide counseling and applied behavior analysis services in homes, communities and schools in the New Orleans area. We are currently seeking 1-2 school/home- based line techs. These techs help students get the most out of their school day, they follow BCBA created and directed plans to assist students in coping with challenges and gaining new skills. BCBAs engage in telehealth and in-person supervision, providing support to all clinical staff. Hourly pay rates are determined upon experience implementing ABA.
Job Responsibilities:
Work one on one with clients in homes, camps and schools, providing high quality ABA services Collect behavior and skill acquisition data during sessions Identify opportunities for communication, self-advocacy and learning Work with the BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) Supervisor to implement basic principles and teaching procedures of ABA therapy Maintain consistency, so the child can trust that they will receive similar responses and support from all staff members Be responsive to the needs of children, communicate with BCBA to support them or make changes if something is no longer working Maintain high integrity with data, communicate with the treatment team about any changes Arrive on time and be prepared for therapy sessions
Employee Recommendations:
Bachelor's Degree (Psychology, Education, Social Work, or Sociology) Experience working with children for 1 year in a 1:1 setting 1-year ABA experience or other relevant experience Ability to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills Personal means of transportation with a reliable vehicle
