Job Description

Category Schools - RBT - Registered Behavior Technician Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact by providing direct support to students with autism in a collaborative school setting. This full-time contract position offers the opportunity to work closely with high-needs students, implementing evidence-based strategies in a structured special education environment for the remainder of the current school year—with the possibility of extension. You'll play a vital role in promoting positive behavioral change and fostering communication skills that help students thrive.
Key Qualifications:
Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required Prior experience working in school-based or similar educational environments Demonstrated ability to support students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and high behavioral needs Familiarity with Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), behavior tracking systems, and de-escalation strategies SafetyCare training strongly preferred Strong collaborative mindset; effective communication with school staff and multidisciplinary teams
Core Responsibilities:
Deliver intensive behavioral interventions and classroom support to students with significant behavioral and communication challenges Assist in the implementation and documentation of individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) Track student progress and behaviors daily, communicating updates to the educational team Participate in team meetings, contributing insights for ongoing program development and interventions Model and reinforce positive social and communication skills for students in both classroom and individual settings Utilize de-escalation and safety techniques as needed to maintain a safe, supportive environment This is your chance to advance your career in a role where your expertise is highly valued, and your contributions make a lasting difference.
