Job Description

Spring Valley Behavioral Consultants is seeking compassionate and motivated Behavioral Technicians (BTs) to provide direct support to children with Autism and related developmental disabilities. This role involves implementing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) programs, collecting behavioral data, and collaborating with a clinical team to support meaningful client progress. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Provide direct 1:1 and group ABA therapy using structured and natural environment teaching Implement behavior intervention and skill acquisition plans designed by a BCBA Collect, record, and summarize behavioral data accurately Assist with toilet training and other individualized protocols as needed Support parent/caregiver training under BCBA guidance Communicate professionally with families and team members regarding client progress Maintain client confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA Assist with assessments and preparation of therapy materials Maintain a safe, clean, and organized therapy environment Participate in ongoing training and supervision Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and supervisors
QUALIFICATION
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED Willingness to complete required training (RBT certification, CPR, and company trainings) Reliable transportation and ability to travel between client locations Valid driver's license and auto insurance in good standing Preferred (Not Required) Experience working with children (ages 0-16) in a classroom or 1:1 setting Experience with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) RBT Certification (not required at hire) Skills and Competencies Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and follow structured protocols Professionalism, reliability, and adaptability Commitment to ethical standards (BACB guidelines) Ability to accept feedback and develop professionally
BASIC AND JOB REQUIREMENTS
The following are essential functions of this role and are required to perform duties safely and effectively: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with client movement, including lifting and carrying with adaptive equipment as needed Ability to sit, stand, kneel, squat, crawl, and transition quickly between positions for extended periods, including working on the floor Ability to implement behavior intervention strategies safely, including physical components such as holding, restraint, or transport, and to respond quickly to client behaviors Manual dexterity and visual ability for accurate data collection using computers, tablets, and other electronic devices Ability to communicate effectively and follow detailed instructions; must have reliable transportation to the clinic and, when assigned, to occasional home, school, or community-based sessions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.
