Staff hired will work with students with Autism in a public school setting throughout the school year and summer school program in New Bedford. This is a full-time 35-hour/week opportunity! If you work full-time, you can earn up to 15 days of paid time off (PTO) after 90 days of employment. If you work part-time, you are eligible for sick leave.What You Have:
Meet the minimum age requirement of 18 (on or before the first day of employment). Eligibility to work in the United States. Availability Monday-Friday for day-time hours The ability to pass a background check. Not to mention, it's a plus if you: Are bi-lingual, with English/Spanish fluency. Studied, majored, or minored in psychology, education, special education, childcare, behavioral health, health science, or a related field. Have experience working with children, whether as a babysitter, nanny, tutor, teacher, coach, camp counselor, or some other form of childcare.What You'll Be Doing:
Gaining training and skills to support a career in behavior analysis, behavioral health, teaching, occupational therapy, speech-language pathology, counseling, mental health, and parenting. Creating lasting, positive change for children and their families. Physical requirements vary and are based on specific client assignments. You may be asked to engage in any of the following: push, pull, and lift up to 35 pounds and move quickly, according to client needs.
