Job Description

Category Schools - RBT - Registered Behavior Technician Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity dedicated to supporting K-2 students with high needs in a dynamic, school-based setting near Somerville, MA. Engage with young learners with autism, providing intensive behavioral and classroom support at the elementary level for the remainder of the current school year, with potential for extension as determined by the district. Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required Prior experience working in school-based or pediatric settings strongly preferred Experience supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), particularly those with complex behavioral and communication needs Familiarity with Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), data collection and behavior tracking systems, and de-escalation strategies SafetyCare training strongly preferred Proven ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate effectively with staff, administrators, and families
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver direct, individualized behavioral interventions to high-needs K-2 students in classroom settings Implement Behavior Intervention Plans and collaborate in ongoing behavioral data collection and progress monitoring Support students in developing communication, self-regulation, and adaptive skills Collaborate with teachers, related service providers, and support staff to foster inclusive and supportive learning environments Participate in training opportunities and team meetings as needed Maintain clear, thorough documentation to track student progress and intervention effectiveness Take this opportunity to enrich your career while making a positive impact in students' lives.
