The ideal candidate will be kind, ethical, team-oriented, and professional. You will work closely with children with autism and their families to implement individualized treatment plans based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles. This role is essential in providing support and guidance to help children achieve their goals and improve their overall quality of life. Responsibilities Implement behavior intervention plans as directed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Collect and record data on the progress of each child's treatment plan, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Provide direct support in behavioral therapy sessions, focusing on behavior management techniques. Maintain clear and detailed documentation of each session, including observations and outcomes. Collaborate with families to educate them on behavior management strategies and encourage their involvement in the treatment process. Participate in team meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and strategies for improvement. Requirements The registered behavior technician certification is preferred, but not required. We will assist staff in obtaining this certification within their first three months of hire. Experience working with children, particularly those with special needs or behavioral challenges. Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) methodologies is preferred. Familiarity with behavior management techniques and strategies. Strong data collection skills to track progress effectively. Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with children, families, and team members. A compassionate and caring mindset is essential. A background in special education or related fields is a plus but not required.
