Summary:
Wakefield Public Schools is seeking a talented RBT to work in the POST Program, a collaborative post-secondary program that provides experiential and educational opportunities in the areas of daily living, employment, community inclusion, recreation, leisure and real-world academic skills in order to promote a successful transition to adulthood. The program's main goal is for young adults to gain the necessary skills to become confident, independent, and integrated members of our community.
Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one or small group support to students in the POST Academy program, including implementing discrete trials Assist in creating, implementing, and monitoring progress of individualized programming Assist in delivering direct behavior-analytic services, implementing behavior plans, and collecting and graphing data Assist in the development of IEPs Continuously monitor student's response to treatment through data collection methods Implementing behavioral procedures for acquisition of replacement skills and reduction of problematic behaviors Support students with various ADLs (including toileting), when needed Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment Perform other related duties, as required
Work Year:
190 days total (180 school days + 10 days). There is an opportunity to work the Extended School Year Program in the summer as well, if you choose to do so.
Work Day:
7.5 hours Monday - Friday. The schedule is consistent with the district calendar.
Compensation:
competitive rate per hour commensurate with experience
