Position:
Under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, the Behavior Technician or ABA Therapist role provides 1-to-1 Applied Behavioral Analysis services to children diagnosed with Autism (ASD). Therapy sessions usually run 3-4 hours and primarily take place during after school hours in the client's home, Community, and/or at our Center. Our team focuses on assigning cases as locally as possible (usually within 30 minutes) to your home address or regular school/other work location Travel time pay and mileage reimbursements are available (when applicable). Behavior Technician Required:
Must have reliable, personal transportation Must have a Driver's License Must be able to work at least 10 hours per week (mostly afterschool hours between 3-8 PM) Must have High School Diploma/GED Some Saturday availability is preferred but not required. Friendly, energetic, and enjoys working with individuals with special needs Experience working with children Ability to attend an initial orientation Ability to be timely and organized Ability to work independently Proven ability to communicate effectively within a variety of situations Responsibilities of an ABA Therapist / Behavior Technician Creating a fun and engaging learning environment Working under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst Working with families for effective collaboration Submitting all required paperwork in a timely manner Electronic Data collection Implementing individualized behavior support plans Implementing skill acquisition programs Applicants who enjoy and excel in this role may have worked as a: Paraprofessional, Teacher, Assistant Teacher, Teacher's Aide, Instructional Aide, Daycare Assistant, Childcare worker, Rehabilitative Assistant, Educational Associate, Educational Assistant, Nanny, Tutor, Home Care Aid, Mental Health Therapist, PCA, HHA, CNA, Home Health Worker, Medical Assistant, Psychologist, SLPA, OTA, and Social Worker.
