This role is essential in providing support to individuals with developmental disabilities and behavioral health challenges. The Behavior Technician will work closely with clients, implementing individualized treatment plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). The ideal candidate will be patient, empathetic, and committed to fostering positive behavioral changes. Duties Implement behavior intervention plans and strategies as outlined by the supervising BCBA. Collect and record data on client behaviors and progress towards goals. Provide direct support to clients in various settings, including homes, schools, and community environments. Assist in the development of individualized treatment plans based on client needs and preferences. Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure continuity of care. Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote skill development and social interaction. Monitor client safety and well-being during sessions, addressing any concerns promptly. Experience Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in a behavioral health setting is preferred. Familiarity with applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles is highly desirable. Knowledge of medical terminology and experience with medical documentation is beneficial. Strong data collection skills to track client progress effectively. Experience working with children is a plus, as many clients may be minors. Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and privacy of client information.
