Registered Behavior Technician Wellness Wave ABA Baltimore, MD Job Details Part-time | Full-time $27 - $30 an hour 21 hours ago Qualifications RBT Certification HIPAA Assisting with ADLs Working with children Direct support Document management Full Job Description Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our dynamic team committed to making a positive impact on individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder. As an RBT, you will work directly with clients to implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Your role is vital in fostering meaningful progress through evidence-based practices such as applied behavior analysis (ABA), while creating a supportive and engaging environment for each person you serve. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in behavioral health and special education, helping clients achieve their goals and improve their quality of life. Duties Implement behavior intervention plans developed by the supervising BCBA, utilizing principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA) to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors Collect and record data meticulously during sessions to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, dressing, feeding, and hygiene, fostering independence Use effective teaching strategies tailored to each individual's needs to enhance learning and skill acquisition Support clients in social interactions, communication development, and adaptive skills through engaging activities Maintain accurate medical documentation, including progress notes, care plans, and behavioral records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations Communicate regularly with team members and caregivers to provide updates on client progress and share insights for ongoing support Qualifications Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) or eligibility for certification Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities, especially autism spectrum disorder Strong knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques and principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA) Ability to effectively teach new skills and manage behavior using positive reinforcement strategies Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and HIPAA compliance standards Excellent data collection skills and attention to detail for tracking client progress accurately Compassionate attitude with patience and adaptability in working with diverse populations Join us in transforming lives through compassionate care, innovative teaching methods, and evidence-based behavioral health practices.
