Our Autism Care Services Division is approved to provide services under the Autism Waiver program. The mission of Cedar Care Autism Program is to maximize the abilities and quality of life of children with Autism Spectrum Disorders and other developmental disabilities by providing services that enhance life skills, communication, social interaction and safety in collaboration with parents, professionals, and other service agencies. Our services use the home and community environment as a learning experience and as an opportunity to illustrate and model alternative ways of behaving for the client. We provide therapeutic services within homes and the community for clients ages 10 through 21 years. This involves after school hours through evenings and weekends.

REQUIREMENTS

At least 18 years of age High school diploma or equivalent At least 1 year of professional or personal experience with autism and/or behavior management •Full

RESPONSIBILITIES

Adopt goals and task-oriented services intended to prevent or diffuse crisis Promote developmental and social skills growth and provide the client with behavior management skills Give a sense of security and safety to the client Assist the client with maintaining self-sufficiency and impulse control Improve the client's positive self-expression and interpersonal communication Improve the client's ability to function and cooperate in the home and community Reverse negative behaviors and attitudes, and foster stabilization.
