Job Description

The Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) provides direct behavioral health services to children and adolescents experiencing emotional, behavioral, developmental, and/or mental health challenges. This role requires hands-on experience working with youth and demonstrated competency in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques to support skill development, behavior reduction, and improved functioning across home, school, and community settings. The QMHP works as part of a multidisciplinary team to implement individualized treatment plans, provide skills training, support behavioral interventions, and ensure continuity of care for clients and families. Provide direct therapeutic and skills-based services to children and adolescents with behavioral and mental health needs Implement ABA-based interventions, including behavior reduction strategies and skill acquisition programs Follow individualized treatment plans developed by clinicians, BCBA, or supervising provider Collect, record, and report accurate behavioral data (frequency, duration, ABC data, etc.) Support development of social skills, communication skills, emotional regulation, and adaptive functioning Assist caregivers with behavior management strategies and parent training techniques Conduct community-based and in-home interventions as needed Collaborate with therapists, case managers, school personnel, and clinical supervisors Participate in treatment team meetings and staffings Maintain compliance with documentation standards, including progress notes and service logs De-escalate behavioral crises using approved, trauma-informed interventions Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Human Services, or related field Must meet QMHP eligibility standards Minimum 1-2 years of experience working with children and adolescents in behavioral health settings Direct experience implementing ABA strategies in a clinical, school, in-home, or residential setting Knowledge of behavior management principles and child development Ability to complete accurate clinical documentation in a timely manner Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (if community-based services are required)
Pay:
$21.00 - $26.00 per hour
