Job Description

Overview Little River Autism Services provides high-quality care and support to children with autism or other related conditions. We specialize in ABA early intervention therapy, specifically for children ages 2-7, to promote positive behavioral development, communication skills, adaptive skills, and play skills. Our team of clinicians works closely with families and other professionals to create an inclusive and supportive environment. We are looking for a compassionate and motivated Behavior Technician to join our team and support our mission. We are seeking Behavior Technicians to implement individualized ABA services under the supervision and care of a Licensed & Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). This position requires working with children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), to support their behavioral and social-emotional growth. The Behavior Technician will provide direct 1:1 services to clients and will assist with implementing behavior analytic strategies, all while collecting data to track each clients' progress on their treatment plan goals.
Responsibilities Skill Building:
Support children one-on-one in developing functional skills, including communication, self-care routines, and social interactions, through structured activities and play. Assist in carrying out intervention plans and strategies designed by the BCBA.
Data Collection:
Record and maintain accurate data on the child's behavior, progress, and responses to interventions. Ensure data is collected consistently according to protocols.
Behavior Management:
Support positive behaviors through antecedent strategies, using evidence-based techniques, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for the child and others.
Collaboration:
Clear communication with team members and caregivers to ensure collaboration, to best support the child's progress.
Documentation:
Completion of session notes concurrent with services delivery.
Training and Support:
Participate in ongoing training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills in behavior analysis.
Qualifications Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in psychology, education, or a related field preferred (e.g. speech, OT)
Experience:
Previous experience working with children, especially those with autism or other developmental disabilities, is highly preferred.
Certification:
RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) certification is preferred, OR the willingness to pursue certification within 90-days of your hire date (paid training provided)
Skills:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude Organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to follow detailed instructions and protocols Knowledge of ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) preferred Related Experience Related experience includes work as a PCA, teaching or day care settings, and/or early childhood special education.
