The Registered Behavior Technician provides direct behavioral intervention services to students receiving Tier 1 supports under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). This position implements individualized behavior intervention plans and supports students in achieving their educational and behavioral goals within the school setting.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Implement behavior intervention plans and teaching procedures as designed by supervising BCBA
- Collect accurate behavioral and academic data on student progress and program effectiveness
- Provide direct one-on-one and small group instruction using evidence-based behavioral strategies
- Assist students with daily living skills, social interactions, and academic tasks
- Maintain detailed documentation of student behaviors, interventions, and outcomes
- Collaborate with teachers, related service providers, and families to support student success
- Follow all safety protocols and crisis intervention procedures as trained
- Participate in regular supervision meetings and professional development activities
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current RBT certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) by December 31, 2026
- Completion of 40-hour RBT training program
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children and adolescents with disabilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to implement behavioral interventions with fidelity
- Physical ability to assist students with mobility and daily living activities
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate's degree in education, psychology, or related field
- Previous experience working with students with autism spectrum disorders or developmental disabilities
- Experience in educational or therapeutic settings
- Bilingual abilities
- Training in crisis intervention techniques
