Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) - Autism Clinic Position SummaryThe Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) provides direct one-on-one and group behavioral intervention services to those diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), the RBT implements individualized treatment plans designed to improve communication, social, behavioral, and daily living skills. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Implement Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy programs as designed by the BCBA. Provide direct therapy services to clients in a clinic setting. Collect and accurately record data on client progress and behavior. Assist clients in developing communication, social, play, self-help, and daily living skills. Utilize positive reinforcement and evidence-based behavioral strategies to reduce challenging behaviors. Follow behavior intervention plans and treatment protocols. Maintain client confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with BCBAs, families, and interdisciplinary team members regarding client progress. Participate in training, supervision, and ongoing professional development activities. Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive therapeutic environment. Complete documentation and session notes accurately and timely. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, Social Work, or a related field preferred. Current RBT certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) required or ability to obtain certification within designated timeframe. Experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder or developmental disabilities preferred. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to follow treatment plans and accept clinical feedback. Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality. Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, kneel, and actively engage with clients throughout the workday. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds when necessary. Ability to respond quickly to client behaviors and maintain client safety. Work Environment Clinic-based setting. Frequent interaction with clients, families, and clinical staff. Exposure to challenging behaviors that may require implementation of approved behavioral interventions.
