Blazer Jobs has an opening for a Behavior Specialist for a full-time, school-based contract position in Henderson, North Carolina. This role is for the remainder of the current school year and offers an opportunity to support students across a K-12 caseload in a dynamic and collaborative school environment. Job Details Full-time position (37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday) Onsite role for the remainder of the school year (ASAP - June 4, 2026) K-12 caseload (1:1 or flexible support based on student and district needs) School-based setting Responsibilities Support students with behavioral needs in classroom and school settings Implement and monitor behavior intervention plans (BIPs) Collaborate with teachers and staff to manage and improve student behavior Track and document student progress and behavioral data Provide support in de-escalation and crisis situations Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, or related field (Master's preferred) Experience working with children or students with behavioral needs Ability to adapt to varying caseloads and student needs CPI or de-escalation training preferred Experience Previous school-based or behavioral support experience preferred Experience with K-12 students is a plus Education Bachelor's degree required in a related field Compensation & Benefits W2 contract through Blazer Jobs Competitive pay based on experience Full-time employees are eligible for benefits, including 401(k) Work Hours Monday-Friday 37.5 hours per week (unpaid lunch included) Blazer Jobs partners with school districts nationwide to connect professionals with meaningful opportunities in education.
