Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Behavioral Technician (BT), where your passion for helping others and dedication to behavioral health will make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and individuals with developmental disabilities. In this vital role, you will implement evidence-based behavioral interventions under the supervision of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), fostering growth, independence, and improved quality of life. This paid position offers an engaging environment where your skills in teaching, data collection, and patient care come together to support positive outcomes. Duties Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles to promote skill development and reduce challenging behaviors. Collect, record, and analyze data on client progress to inform treatment adjustments and ensure fidelity to care plans. Support children and individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities through engaging teaching strategies tailored to their needs. Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality. Collaborate with team members to develop and update personalized care plans that reflect each client's evolving needs. Provide compassionate patient care by creating a positive, supportive environment that encourages growth and learning. Skills Strong knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques and applied behavior analysis (ABA). Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities, especially autism spectrum disorder. Excellent teaching skills with the ability to adapt approaches for diverse learners. Proficiency in data collection methods and analyzing behavioral data to guide interventions. Familiarity with medical terminology, documentation standards, and maintaining secure medical records. Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team while adhering to HIPAA privacy standards. Exceptional patience, empathy, and communication skills necessary for working with individuals requiring behavioral health support.
