Category Schools - RBT - Registered Behavior Technician Job Type Contract Make a positive impact as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) supporting students and staff in a dynamic educational setting. You'll work collaboratively with educators and specialists, assisting students in achieving their fullest potential.
Key Qualifications:
Current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Experience implementing behavior intervention plans in school settings Strong commitment to ongoing professional development and renewal (RBT renewal eligibility required for
NSY 26/27
) Skill in working one-on-one and in group situations with children and adolescents Excellent communication, observation, and record-keeping abilities Ability to adapt quickly to changing environments and student needs
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide individualized behavioral support under the direction of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and other supervising professionals Implement evidence-based interventions to help students demonstrate appropriate behaviors and achieve academic/social goals Collect and document data on student progress and behavior Collaborate with classroom teachers, parents, and interdisciplinary teams Support students with transitions, de-escalation, and coping strategies as needed Participate in ongoing training, meetings, and required certification renewal activities This role offers the chance to work in a supportive school environment where you can make a daily difference in the lives of students.
