QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must have knowledge of Special Education practices, procedures and regulations. Must be BCBA certified.
SUMMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
A BCBA in the Nashua School District is highly qualified for the delivery of behavioral interventions, uses effective strategies for differentiation, interacts positively, professionally, showing respect with students and parents, expects students to learn and not fail, actively engages students in lessons that are planned around grade level expectations and enhance critical thinking skills. BCBAs implement behavioral strategies that contribute to a climate where students are actively engaged in meaningful learning experiences. The effective BCBA inspires and empowers students in their own learning and collaborates with their peers regularly to align curriculum and enhance the instructional environment towards gains in student performance goals. Professional obligations of BCBAs are met through continuous pursuit of new understanding, reflection on their own practices and beliefs and through efficient work habits for planning student behavioral supports, meeting deadlines and honoring schedules.
