Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician (BT) to join our team. The ideal candidate will work closely with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, providing support through behavioral therapy and applied behavior analysis (ABA). This role is essential in helping clients achieve their personal goals, improve their quality of life, and develop essential skills. As a BT, you will play a crucial role in implementing treatment plans and collecting data to track progress. Responsibilities Implement individualized treatment plans based on applied behavior analysis principles. Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) to promote independence. Work directly with children and individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities. Collect and record data on client behavior and progress towards goals. Teach new skills and reinforce positive behaviors through structured interventions. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop care plans tailored to each client's needs. Maintain accurate medical documentation, including medical records, terminology, and HIPAA compliance. Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills in behavioral health and behavior management. Skills Proficiency in behavioral therapy techniques and strategies. Experience working with children, particularly those with developmental disabilities or autism. Strong understanding of applied behavior analysis principles. Ability to assist clients with ADLs effectively. Knowledge of special education practices and patient care standards. Familiarity with data collection methods for tracking client progress. Excellent communication skills for teaching and interacting with clients. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations.
