One Step Forward is hiring a Behavior Technician to provide one on one ABA therapy services to children in Fair Lawn, Hawthorne, and surrounding Bergen County areas. This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy working with children and want to help build communication, social, behavioral, and daily living skills through individualized Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) programs. You'll work directly with children while receiving ongoing support from experienced BCBAs in a structured and supportive environment. What You'll Be Doing Provide direct 1:1 ABA therapy sessions Implement individualized treatment plans developed by a BCBA Deliver skill acquisition and behavior reduction programs Utilize ABA strategies including reinforcement, prompting, shaping, and behavior intervention techniques Support communication, social, adaptive, and daily living skills Collect data and complete detailed session documentation Collaborate with supervising BCBAs regarding client progress and program updates Why This Role Stands Out $22-$32 per hour based on experience Consistent after school caseloads Ongoing BCBA supervision and mentorship Structured ABA programs with clear clinical direction Opportunities to continue building ABA and behavioral health experience What We're Looking For Experience working with children preferred ABA, Behavior Technician, or RBT experience is a plus Reliable transportation Strong communication and organizational skills Professional, dependable, and motivated This Role Is Great For ABA Therapists Behavior Technicians RBTs Candidates with experience working with children Individuals interested in behavioral health, education, or child development About One Step Forward One Step Forward provides individualized ABA therapy services across New Jersey.
