Job Description

Overview Join our dedicated team as a Behavior Technician, where you will play a vital role in supporting adults with autism and developmental disabilities. This client is 20 years old and lives in Far Hills. We need service Tues 3:30-5:30p, Wed & Thu 5:30p - 8:30p, and Sat 10a - 2p. Duties Implement evidence-based behavioral therapy techniques, including applied behavior analysis (ABA), to support adults with autism in developing essential skills. Collect and record data meticulously to monitor progress and inform treatment plans, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards. Support the development and execution of individualized care plans tailored to each client's unique needs and goals. Collaborate with supervisors, caregivers, and healthcare professionals to ensure consistent care and effective behavior management strategies. Maintain accurate medical documentation, including progress notes, behavior logs, and records of interventions using appropriate medical terminology. Foster a positive environment that promotes patience, understanding, and respect while managing challenging behaviors through proven behavioral health techniques. Skills Strong knowledge of behavioral therapy principles, especially applied behavior analysis (ABA) and behavior management strategies. Experience working with adults with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Ability to assist clients with ADLs and support their independence in daily routines. Excellent data collection skills to track behavioral progress accurately. Familiarity with special education concepts and patient care practices within a behavioral health setting. Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and HIPAA compliance requirements. Effective teaching abilities combined with patience and empathy to support clients' growth and development. This position offers an engaging environment where your dedication directly improves lives. Pay:
