Job Description

Job Summary Join our dedicated team as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) and make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and individuals with developmental disabilities. In this energetic role, you will implement evidence-based behavioral interventions rooted in applied behavior analysis (ABA) to support clients with autism spectrum disorder and other behavioral health needs. Your compassionate approach will help foster skill development, independence, and improved quality of life through engaging teaching strategies, data collection, and personalized care plans. Responsibilities Implement individualized behavior intervention plans designed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), focusing on skill acquisition and behavior management. Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, dressing, feeding, and other essential self-care routines. Collect accurate data on client behaviors, progress, and response to interventions to inform ongoing treatment adjustments. Use positive reinforcement techniques to promote desired behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors in a supportive manner. Collaborate with team members to develop, review, and update care plans tailored to each client's unique needs. Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure confidentiality of all medical records and documentation. Support clients during therapy sessions in various settings such as homes, clinics, or community environments while fostering a safe and engaging atmosphere. Experience Prior experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is highly preferred. Knowledge of behavioral therapy principles, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and behavior management strategies is essential. Experience in special education or teaching roles that involve working with diverse learning needs will be advantageous. Familiarity with medical terminology, medical documentation, and care plan implementation is a plus. Demonstrated ability to collect data accurately and maintain detailed medical records in accordance with privacy standards such as HIPAA. Patience, compassion, strong communication skills, and a proactive attitude are vital for success in this role.
