(BCBA) - Tenure Track This is an anticipated opening for September 2025 Works with : Students in the District GAPPS Autistic Program K-12, Special Education Teachers, Special Education Paraprofessionals, General Education Teachers.Qualifications:
1. Hold a New Jersey Board Certified Behavior Analyst Certificate (N.J.A.C.6:116.1, 6.2, or 8.1,8.3 et seq). In accordance with the requirement ofNJSA 18A
27:1 et seq and NJAC Title 6 Chapter 11. 2. Minimum of three years' experience in educational settings - writing and monitoring Individual Educational Programs. 3. Demonstrates an ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with administration 4. Possesses knowledge of laws and regulations governing special education inNJ Nature and Scope of Job:
Assumes professional responsibility for overseeing specialized programming and the implementation of behavior intervention plans for the students in the ABA program. Provides support to the teachers and paraprofessionals in the ABA program. Works with building Principals to determine program budget and material needs. Conducts student observations and provides feedback for paraprofessionals performing ABA. Reviews data books (teaching plans weekly).Job Responsibilities:
Create and maintain programs for ABLLS, AFLS, PECS and grade level academic based lesson plans on district drive. Communicate updates to the drive and expectations for various data collection procedures regarding lesson plans, behavior plans and PECS Assist teachers and behaviorists with progression of lesson plans and individualized functional long term objectives. Create GAPPS protocol for ASD students in emergency situations Oversee development and presentation of professional development topics Provides protective hold training yearly to ABA Staff Develop training protocol for paraprofessionals new to ABA Program; ensure competency and pinpoint areas of weakness through assessment. Conduct observations of students and paraprofessionals in ABA program during trials and proves feedback when needed. Discuss opportunities for areas of improvement for paraprofessionals with building principals. Oversee the implementation of behavior intervention plans and protocols through monthly reviews with behaviorists to ensure progress Research and discuss with district behaviorists new studies and best practice for implementation of programs and behavior reduction techniques. Develop a system to evaluate students who are ready for inclusion; train teachers and behaviorists to use/ implement Work with Director of Special Services to invite speakers for professional development. Conduct intakes for students coming from out of district Coordinate with building principals for school based Autism Awareness Month events Coordinate summer ESY program Oversee student placement in classrooms based on age and ability for elementary middle and high school programs Create orders for basic materials as well as new classrooms Assist teachers and related service providers in conducting parent workshops Attend district and CST meetings as directed Reports to :Director of Special Services, Building Principal, Superintendent of Schools, Business Administrator Experience:
Successful prior experience working as a BCBA, preferred.Application Procedure:
