RBT Applied Behavior Analysis Therapist Clearsteps ABA Hawthorne, NJ Job Details Part-time $27 - $33 an hour 3 hours ago Benefits Paid training Qualifications RBT Certification Working with individuals with developmental disabilities Spanish Working with children Patient interaction Fading in ABA therapy Full Job Description Overview Join our dynamic team as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapist, where you will play a vital role in supporting children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder. This rewarding position allows you to implement evidence-based behavioral interventions, promote positive behavior change, and enhance quality of life through compassionate care and tailored teaching strategies. You will work closely with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to foster growth, independence, and confidence in each individual. Duties Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA) to promote skill development and reduce challenging behaviors. Collect and record accurate data on client behaviors, progress, and response to interventions to inform ongoing treatment adjustments. Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, hygiene, dressing, and other self-care routines to support independence. Support clients during therapy sessions by teaching communication skills, social interactions, and functional skills through engaging activities. Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations by ensuring confidentiality of medical records, treatment plans, and client information. Collaborate with supervising clinicians and team members to develop care plans that meet each individual's unique needs. Foster a positive, patient-centered environment that encourages learning, growth, and emotional well-being for clients. Experience Prior experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred but not required; training will be provided for qualified candidates eager to learn. Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques and applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles is highly desirable. Experience assisting with ADLs or implementing behavior management strategies is a plus. Familiarity with medical documentation, medical terminology, and maintaining accurate medical records is advantageous. Strong communication skills and patience are essential for working effectively with clients, families, and team members. Certification as an RBT or willingness to obtain certification is required; ongoing supervision will be provided for those pursuing certification. Join us in making a meaningful difference!
