RBT Camp Shadow (Ridgewood NJ) 7/27-8/21 Above and Beyond Learning Group - 3.4 Ridgewood, NJ Job Details Temporary | Full-time $20 - $30 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications RBT Certification School experience Teamwork Relationship building (classroom management strategies) Direct support Working with families Camp Full Job Description Above and Beyond Learning Group is seeking a compassionate, energetic, and reliable Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or Behavior Technician (BT) to provide one-to-one support for an 8-year-old boy attending a summer camp program in Ridgewood, NJ. The Camp Shadow will help facilitate successful participation in camp activities, support social interactions with peers, and implement behavior support strategies in collaboration with the child's family and clinical team. This is a four-week seasonal position ideal for individuals who enjoy working with children in recreational and community settings and have experience supporting children with developmental, behavioral, or social-emotional needs. Responsibilities Provide direct 1:1 support throughout the camp day. Facilitate participation in camp activities, transitions, and routines. Support the development of age-appropriate social skills and peer interactions. Implement behavior support strategies and reinforcement plans as directed by the supervising BCBA or clinical team. Promote independence while ensuring the child's safety and well-being. Collect data and document observations as required. Communicate regularly with parents, camp staff, and supervising professionals regarding progress and concerns. Maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times. QualificationsRequired Current RBT certification or experience as a Behavior Technician. Experience working with children, preferably in camp, school, recreational, or community settings. Ability to build positive relationships with children and families. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Reliable transportation and punctual attendance. Preferred Experience supporting children with autism spectrum disorder and/or behavioral challenges. Current CPR/First Aid certification. Bachelor's degree or coursework in Psychology, Education, Special Education, Applied Behavior Analysis, Social Work, or a related field. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is patient, engaging, proactive, and able to balance support with encouraging independence. They enjoy being active, participating in outdoor activities, and helping children have a successful and enjoyable camp experience.
Pay:
$20.00 - $30.00 per hour
