Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team in Sparta. In this vital role, you will work directly with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, to implement individualized behavior plans using evidence-based practices such as applied behavior analysis (ABA). Responsibilities Implement behavior intervention plans tailored to each individual's needs, focusing on skill acquisition and behavior management. Collect, record, and analyze data on client progress to inform ongoing treatment strategies. Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as grooming, feeding, and toileting, promoting independence. Use behavioral therapy techniques to support clients in developing communication, social, and adaptive skills. Maintain accurate medical documentation and update care plans in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with supervisors, teachers, and families to ensure consistency across settings and optimize outcomes. Support clients during therapy sessions by creating a positive and engaging environment that encourages participation. Requirements Valid certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or willingness to obtain certification prior to start. Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities preferred. Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavioral health principles, and behavior management strategies. Ability to assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) in a patient care setting. Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and HIPAA compliance. Strong data collection skills to track progress accurately and support treatment adjustments. Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills; patience is essential for working with individuals on the autism spectrum or with other developmental challenges.
