Qualifications:
  • Posses and maintain CPR/First Aid certification
  • Experience working with individuals of varying ages (toddler to young adults)
  • Experience working with different diagnosis beyond Autism
  • Knowledgeable in alternative and augmentative communication systems (AAC), or willing to take on training, such as PECS, communication Apps, high-tech communication devices
  • Knowledgeable in Behavior Skills Training for caregiver and staff training
  • Able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Willing to collaborate with other health professionals integrating a multi-disciplinary approach
  • Special attention to cultural competency, especially with New York's melting pot of cultures Job Responsibilities
  • Implement ABA methodologies
  • Ensures program effectiveness
  • Oversees and monitors the intake and assessment process
  • Provide parent training
  • Implements the program goals
  • Managing data regarding the client's progress
  • Provides training and supervision of behavior technicians
  • Review data, client progress and make changes as necessary
  • Prepares reports regarding program effectiveness
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned The candidate MUST be a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), as recognized by the BACB, to provide ABA program supervision to learners with autism.
