ABA services and community-based programming About the Role Friendship Circle / FriendshipABA is seeking a personable, organized, and dependable Lead RBT to join our growing ABA team. This is a full-time leadership-track role for someone who enjoys both direct work with children and team coordination. The Lead RBT will split their time between approximately 20 hours per week of direct service and 20 hours per week of administrative/team support responsibilities , including RBT scheduling, onboarding, recruiting, and helping manage day-to-day RBT coverage. The ideal candidate is warm, flexible, clinically minded, and ready to be a "super sub" — someone who can step into sessions, support children, orient new RBTs, and help the team function smoothly. ResponsibilitiesDirect ABA Support Provide direct ABA therapy and behavioral support to children under the supervision of the Clinical Director Implement treatment plans, behavior intervention strategies, skill-acquisition programs, and data-collection procedures Support children in communication, social skills, emotional regulation, transitions, independence, and participation in programs Step in as needed to cover sessions, support high-need cases, and help maintain consistency of care Model professionalism, warmth, and strong clinical implementation for other RBTs RBT Team Coordination Help schedule RBTs across cases, programs, and direct-service needs Manage day-to-day RBT coverage and help solve staffing gaps Act as a "super sub" when coverage is needed Provide basic orientation and introductions for new RBTs Help onboard new RBTs into FriendshipABA systems, expectations, and clinical routines Support communication between RBTs, the Clinical Director, families, and program staff Help maintain a positive, organized, and team-oriented RBT culture Hiring and Recruiting Help source and identify potential RBT candidates Assist with outreach, screening, and initial introductions for new behavior technician applicants Support the hiring pipeline for new RBTs and RBT-eligible candidates Help new hires understand the mission, expectations, and day-to-day responsibilities of the role
Qualifications Required:
At least 2 years of experience working with children with disabilities, special education, ABA, behavioral support, or a related field Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to connect warmly with children, families, and staff Excellent reliability, organization, and communication skills Ability to remain calm, flexible, and solution-focused in a busy environment Willingness to become RBT certified if not already certified Ability to work a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, including
Sundays Preferred:
Current RBT certification Experience working in special education, autism support, ABA therapy, or behavioral intervention Experience training, mentoring, scheduling, or coordinating staff Interest in pursuing BCBA certification or growing in the ABA field Comfort working in a mission-driven, values-based community environment Supervision and Growth Opportunities This role works closely with the Clinical Director and offers strong opportunities for professional growth.
