In this vital role, you will implement evidence-based behavioral interventions under the supervision of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs). Your energetic approach and compassionate attitude will foster positive growth, skill development, and independence for those you serve. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your expertise in behavioral health, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and special education while providing essential patient care. Duties Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA) to promote skill acquisition and reduce problematic behaviors. Collect and record accurate data on client behaviors, progress, and responses during therapy sessions to inform ongoing treatment adjustments. Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, dressing, feeding, and other self-care routines, fostering independence. Support clients in educational settings by teaching communication, social, and adaptive skills aligned with their care plans. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations when managing medical records, documentation, and client information. Collaborate with team members to develop, review, and update individualized treatment plans tailored to each client's needs. Participate in ongoing training sessions to stay current with best practices in behavioral health, behavior management, and medical terminology. Skills Strong understanding of behavioral therapy techniques and principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA). Experience working with children or individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or other developmental disabilities. Excellent teaching abilities with patience and enthusiasm for guiding skill development. Proficiency in data collection methods to track client progress accurately. Knowledge of medical documentation standards and medical terminology related to behavioral health. Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team focused on patient care and behavior management.
