LANCASTER COUNTY , CHESTER COUNTY, DAUPHIN COUNTY, DELAWARE COUNTY, PA

As a Behavior Specialist Consultant is the behavioral lead for assigned clients and addresses goals and areas of client need across the home, day setting, and community environments, by assessing the current needs, developing programs, and monitoring the implementation of prescribed programs, and training the necessary team members. Qualifications Required Master's degree or higher in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education, Counseling, Social Work, Education, Gerontology, or a closely related field; or a Pennsylvania Behavior Specialist License Minimum 1-2 years of experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and/or Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) Demonstrated experience developing, implementing, and monitoring behavior support plans Strong knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and interventions Experience with data collection, analysis, and progress monitoring of behavioral outcomes Experience working across home, day program, and/or community settings Strong written and verbal communication skills for documentation and interdisciplinary collaboration Preferred Experience working within an ISP (Individual Support Plan) framework BCBA, BCaBA, or actively pursuing certification with ongoing fieldwork hours Knowledge of restrictive procedures and applicable ODP regulations and ethical standards Experience training, coaching, and supervising direct support staff on behavioral programming Experience leading team meetings and coordinating interdisciplinary care This position is not a match if you: Have no direct experience working with individuals with ASD or IDD Have not been involved in developing or overseeing behavior support plans Prefer a purely administrative or office-based role with limited field engagement Key Responsibilities Clinical & Program Development Develop, implement, and monitor Behavior Support Plans (BSPs) aligned with ISP outcomes and prescribed medical or clinical recommendations across all settings Conduct functional assessments and evaluate client needs to inform individualized treatment planning Measure, analyze, and interpret data to evaluate progress and adjust interventions as needed Lead treatment plan review meetings and provide clinical recommendations based on data and observations Collaboration & Communication Collaborate regularly with internal and external stakeholders, including families, providers, and Supports Coordination Organizations Communicate effectively with assigned staff regarding programming, treatment fidelity, and training needs Maintain professional, respectful, and person-centered interactions with all clients and team members Training & Staff Development Train Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) on ISP outcomes, behavior support plans, proactive strategies, restrictive procedures, and prescribed programming Provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback to ensure consistency and fidelity of implementation Deliver training on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and related topics to staff and stakeholders Support staff participating in BCBA fieldwork and internship activities and contribute to departmental development through systems and process improvement Documentation & Professional Development Maintain and submit all required documentation in a timely manner, including assessments, quarterly progress notes, and billing records, in accordance with ODP and organizational requirements Engage in ongoing professional development to maintain certifications and expand clinical expertise Contribute to the growth of team members by sharing knowledge, best practices, and subject matter expertise
