Job Description

Category Schools - RBT - Registered Behavior Technician Job Type Contract This opportunity is ideal for a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) with experience supporting young learners in educational settings. The role involves providing one-on-one behavioral support to a pre-school student diagnosed with autism who has communication needs, a short attention span, and high energy levels. You will be working within an integrated pre-school classroom alongside a special education teacher and two paraprofessionals, supporting a total of eight students.

Contract Schedule:
Full-time preferred (9:15 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.), Part-time option available (9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.) Key responsibilities include: Implementing behavioral interventions tailored to the student's needs Supporting the student's communication and social skills development Collaborating closely with the SPED teacher and paraprofessionals to create a positive learning environment Monitoring and documenting the student's progress to inform instructional strategies Utilizing ABA techniques to reinforce positive behaviors effectively Desired qualifications and experience: Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Prior experience working with children diagnosed with autism and communication challenges Ability to maintain patience, enthusiasm, and energy to engage a young, active learner Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset Familiarity with integrated classroom settings and special education procedures This position is an excellent fit for candidates passionate about making a meaningful difference in early childhood education through dedicated behavioral support.
