In this vital role, you will implement evidence-based behavioral interventions rooted in applied behavior analysis (ABA) to support clients' growth and independence. Duties Implement individualized behavior intervention plans designed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), focusing on skill development and behavior management. Collect and record data meticulously during therapy sessions to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments. Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, dressing, feeding, and other self-care tasks, promoting independence. Use behavioral therapy techniques to teach new skills, reinforce positive behaviors, and reduce challenging behaviors. Maintain detailed medical documentation, including progress notes, care plans, and records compliant with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality. Collaborate with team members to develop strategies tailored to each client's needs within the framework of special education principles. Support clients in various settings, including clinics or homes, providing patient-centered care that emphasizes safety and comfort. Qualifications Prior experience or training in behavioral therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), or working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is highly preferred, but willing to train motivated individuals. Strong passion for working with children and a commitment to enhancing their quality of life through teaching and support. Ability to assist with ADLs effectively while maintaining patience and empathy. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations ensuring confidentiality of all medical and personal information. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with families, team members, and other healthcare professionals. Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or willingness to obtain certification upon hire is required; ongoing training will be provided for professional development.
